When you visit Happy Trails Nutrition, you will receive dietary advice from a Registered Dietitian tailored to your goals and lifestyle.
All initial appointments are 60 minutes. Follow-ups can be scheduled for 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your needs and the recommendation of your Registered Dietitian.
We offer in-person appointments at 108 North Main Street, White River Junction, Vermont, with parking in the back. Telehealth appointments are available to Vermont and New Hampshire residents. Our facility is accessible for individuals with physical disabilities.

Our facility houses Flora Primary Care, Greentree Women's Health, True North Pelvic Physical Therapy, and Twin River Urology.

Patients can book appointments at any frequency that helps them reach their goals—weekly, monthly, or annually.
Happy Trails Nutrition uses Healthie for electronic medical records. You will be asked to create a free account prior to your first visit. Healthie also allows secure messaging with your Registered Dietitian and tracking your progress between appointments.
We accept a variety of insurance providers. Patients should verify coverage prior to their appointment. CPT codes used are 97802 and 97803.

Key insurance considerations:
- Ask if coverage applies under code Z71.3 or if a diagnostic code is required
- How many sessions are covered
- Whether a referral is needed
- Copay or deductible information

Medicare: Covers nutrition counseling only for Diabetes or Renal Disease, and a referral is required. Coverage for secondary insurance is limited.

If your insurance is not accepted, we can provide a Superbill for reimbursement.

We accept credit cards (Square), Cash App, Venmo, checks, and cash. Sliding scale options may be available—please contact us.
Emails and Healthie messages are responded to within 3 business days. Some conversations may be best held in an appointment, and your Registered Dietitian may recommend scheduling a visit instead of messaging.
Please arrive on time. A 15-minute grace period is allowed, but all appointments end at the scheduled time.
- Cancel more than 3 days in advance: no fee
- Cancel within 72 hours: 50% fee
- No-show: full fee
- After three late/no-show incidents, patients may no longer schedule appointments

This policy ensures we can continue providing high-quality care for all patients.
In-person appointments may be switched to telehealth with confirmation from your Registered Dietitian via Healthie, email, or phone.
