At Happy Trails Nutrition, our goal is simple: to help you achieve sustainable health through personalized, evidence-based nutrition care.
Registered Dietitian Jen Meijer, PhD, MPH, RD, works with patients of all ages—from young children to older adults—to develop practical nutrition strategies that support both prevention and treatment of disease.
Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, trying to improve long-term health, or simply looking for guidance from a trusted nutrition expert, your care plan will be tailored to your unique goals, lifestyle, and medical history.
Every patient leaves their appointment with clear, individualized nutrition goals—including dietary strategies, nutrient targets, and practical meal ideas to support lasting change.
Nutrition counseling is often covered by insurance, making Registered Dietitians accessible and affordable to work with.
Happy Trails Nutrition is in network with a variety of insurance providers including BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Green Mountain Care (Medicaid) United Healthcare, Medicare and Anthem and is eager to help patients understand their benefits prior to their first appointment. "This visit exceeded my high expectations. Dr Meijer patiently listened to my concerns. She somehow managed to share with me the seriousness of changes that I need to make but did this in a way that had me leaving the office feeling optimistic and empowered."

"Jen at Happy Trails Nutrition has been amazing. She’s thoughtful, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable. She’s helped me feel more in control of my IBS and made the low FODMAP process, especially reintroduction, so much easier. Her printouts and materials are super clear and actually helpful, which makes it way less overwhelming. I always feel supported and actually enjoy our sessions. I’m really grateful to be working with her."
